Preparations
Before you start spinning you need a ball. I prefer a Spalding men’s ball, but if you have small hands then you should probably use a soccer ball or a mini basket ball. Also you need to be outside or in a room with a high ceiling and where the ball won’t hit anything like a gymnasium or a large room.
First Step
The first thing you need to focus on I is your grip. There are a number of different grips that work well and you can you feel comfortable. Some examples are:
After you have the grip down you need to start spinning. The first thing you need to realize is that the faster you spin the ball the easier it will be able to balance it but the faster you spin it the harder it is to get it on your finger. So I suggest you start at medium speed and slowly progress the better you get.
The key to balancing the ball is to keep your finger stiff and if you feel the ball is about to fall one way fallow it with your finger. After a while it becomes natural and you can balance it with out even trying. When you get pretty good you can try and copy some tricks from the globe trotters or do what I did and make your own.
